Terms of Service

Vanta is a Discord moderation bot built and run by AverWasTaken (JCBLLC). By adding Vanta to your server or using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Vanta.

Vanta reads messages in servers where it is installed and checks them against a set of plain-English moderation rules. Depending on how a server's moderators configure it, Vanta can flag, delete, or take action on messages that break the rules, and it keeps a log of the actions it takes so moderators can review them.

If you add Vanta to a server, you are responsible for how it is set up there:

• choosing which rules are on and what Vanta does when a rule is broken,
• letting your members know that automated moderation is in use,
• handling appeals fairly when Vanta gets something wrong, and
• making sure your server follows Discord's own Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

Vanta assists your moderators. It does not replace their judgment.

Do not use Vanta to harass, threaten, or target anyone. Do not try to break, overload, or reverse engineer the bot, and do not use it for anything illegal. If the service is abused, we may remove Vanta from your servers or block you from using it.

Vanta is provided on a best-effort basis. It may go down for maintenance or updates, and features and rules may change over time. We try to keep disruptions short, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

Vanta is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the bot or this website, including moderation actions taken in your server.

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version here with a new “last updated” date. Continuing to use Vanta after changes take effect means you accept them.
